Joyce Oberle

At age five, Joyce launched her love for sewing when she learned cross-stitch embroidery. Growing up, leisure time was taken up by refining her sewing skills. While on vacation, in Oregon, the “quilt bug” bit. Quilting has been her love and passion since retirement from teaching elementary school in 2004. She has completed numerous quilts from the beginning stages, to the quilting, and finally the binding. She enjoys all aspects of the quilting arts. She loves to share her passion by teaching others. Her patient methods have guided many through the process.

Joyce is an active member in her local quilt guild. She served as president for two years. She has enjoyed teaching many quilting classes at SewVac Ltd. She resides with her husband. Together, they have four married children and nine grandchildren.
